About Kontrolorgan
Kontrolorgan is the artist name of Johan Heinsen. He likes eighteenth-century literature about sailors, exploration and disobedience. He also likes old acoustic guitars, psychedelic drones, photographs of wood and various types of feedback noise. He believes that there is a liberating quality in sonic tension as it displaces notions of measurable linearity. He dislikes structures that are not easily dismantled and notions of transparency. He thinks scandal and fiction are the only proper formulas of politics. Only what cannot be heard is really worth listening to. You can e-mail him at johanheinsen (at) gmail.com

New stuff
Just some pictures for now. There is also a new project in the works. A collaboration with Christian of GMII/Ego Ensemble/Dat War So. It is a noise kind of thing. Samples and drums. More on that later.

Falling Bough
Playing around with extra bridges on my guitar while in a blissed out spring haze.
This is highly unlikely to end up on any album, since it doesn't sound like the rest of my stuff.
On an unrelated note, I went to a super harsh punk show friday. It was amazing. I had forgotten about that sort of energy. I wish my music was angry like that.

Interruption Songs
So. I've decided to release something new. It will be entitled 'Interruption Songs' and is approximately 30 minutes long. Droney, hazey, ceremonial electronics. Bells, vocals, synths and some drums. It will be released on cd-r in late april/early may. Several of the songs are already found here in the drome. Here is one more:

Smoke I / Atlas Ripple
A new song made over the last couple of weeks. This one also contains samples recorded by Christopher Aaby and Frederik Højlund.
Lately I've been spending more time on each new track, but right now I have 3 or 4 that are almost finished. I'll post more next week. Or maybe I'll finish up some of the Ultraneutralt Orkester songs. Or maybe both.

Disappearance Song
Another new track. Early morning drone excursion. This one features upright bass by Rasmus Aaen as well as a sample of Christopher Aaby and Frederik Højlund wrecking stuff. Also, new artwork.

Light Flesh Rhythm
Today I made some celebration-music. I also made some drawings that are part of a new series with two older ones. You can check it out below.
In related news Rasmus Aaen (Disappearer) and I have started a new project and expect to release an album in the near future. It will be out as soon as we finish up the recordings and come up with a fitting name. My guess is late april.

Hang Time
Imagine a basketball in mid-air. On its way towards the hoop. Now imagine if time slowed down. Not completely dissolved, yet almost completely still. Imagine that basketball, ripe with tension, slowly rotating around its axis. With the prospect of reaching the hoop postponed (out of sight). Imagine this moment (if we can call it that) maintaining itself, folding into itself. Impossibly dynamic.

The Full Nelson
I would like to encourage everyone to download this:

It is full blown rock music from the filthy gutter of suburban Copenhagen. Very dirty, very stupid and distinctly great. I made the artwork.

Maps of outer space within
Lately I've been really into drawing and painting. It's all about cirkles, space exploration and the tension between symmetry and everything else. This might end up as artwork for an upcoming Kontrolorgan records so far tentatively entitled 'Sun Shape Mirror'.

Crystal Eruptions
This is a song about winter. It has vocals and a synth-lead. I also did a drawing for it in water-colour. It has been a long time since I've worked with that old mess. Lots of fun.

New track
So... recently I got really into science fiction especially from the 70's. Just the way the night sky looks in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" blows my mind. And of course Jessicas cathartic reaction to the outside in "Logan's Run" is also awesome. My fingers are crossed that the remake doesn't fuck that up.
All that really inspired me to make some music of more epic proportion. This is the result. It's a mixture of various types of feedback, some organ and a guitar. This may actually end up as a Gigavolt track, but this is the Kontrolorgan-version of the mix. It's about exploration and ultimate failure.

New album entitled "Forefathers"
Ghost#009 is out! It was made almost by accident while writing my graduation history thesis at the university. Who knew that exhaustion could inspire creative output? Below you can listen to the opening track, the epic "Where you go is where you lead us to". You can also check out the artwork, which is halfway between a comic book and a theory of temporal displacement. I hope that you will close your eyes and listen hard for all the things that are not in these mixes.

More to come
Yesterday the omnipotent Ego Ensemble announced an upcoming album. Well the ensemble is not the only entity with an imminent release up it's sleeves. I am currently working on artwork for a record of digital drones. When the visual stuff is all done it will greet the world. Sample the glory below. Expect a release in the coming weeks.

Wakes
Lately I've been interested in digital feedback; making software work counter to its intention. This often result in horrible distorted noise setups that can be almost impossible to control, but once in a while, by meticulous tweaking, you get something really neat.
