Just some pictures for now. There is also a new project in the works. A collaboration with Christian of GMII/Ego Ensemble/Dat War So. It is a noise kind of thing. Samples and drums. More on that later.
This time we offer you the debut release from Taeppeat. A sparse promise, that offers itself to comtemplation while never approaching static. Both tightly sequenced and spontaneous. Soothing meditation in tension. A focused yet restless meandering.
Not video game music for a change. Just the awesome sounds of an emulated YM-2149 chip. And I know there are too many voices for the authentic Atari ST sound.
An adventure into the profound boredom of a hangover. Typical sunday beams, lazy thoughts, internal yelling, where, where, "where was I going yesterday?". Questions usually posed after a night in relation with humans behaving like animals. In the end, you stumbled backwards to your residence, and these memories consist of abrupt flashes fastwarding in your mind like a raging drum solo. Sunday.
Today we've released two records from two new entities within the drome. First we have Christopher Aaby and Frederik Højlund under the name 'Chillbots' taking you to into a slick and stilish rendition of outer space - all improvised. Second we have Dat War So exploring a huge percussive sound in two rude jams, that keep evolving from one dislocated groove to another.
Finally Ultraneutralt Orkester is ready to release their album entitled 'Drifter'. We release it digitally now, and pretty soon a cd-r will also be available.
Situated within a somewhat rude and swampy soundscape the album initiate an imaginary journey, that eventually fuse harsh vibes and ultra bliss. A wide open gate to a mythical inside - hideous yet entrancing. Like an over ripe peach or the botched rescue inherent in messianic talk. Heat violence / Rough Love.
Tracklist:
1. Horse Mask
2. Sights
3. Weed Face
4. Black Breath
5. Drone Lion
6. Hologrammar
7. Night Shape
The new record is done and we are really happy about it. It feels complete, yet crooked in all the right places.
We are currently making artwork and videos. We also need to decide on a title. It is all very exciting.
A busy week in the drome offers up yet another fresh release. It is a return of the Grand Magnus and the II with 75 minutes of jams signalling the constant expansion of the group. Demo #1 sees them evolving by adding more members while exploring percussive textures. Don't worry though, the hazed air of psychedelic jamming is more dense than ever. So hurry up, download, and let it cloud your sense and work your brain.
Yes, it is so! I've finally collected a bunch of tracks and wrapped them up in a package, slapped a name on it and attached some artwork. The name of said package is "Metronomicon", and currently it's available for absolutely free, right there to your right.
It's a very pleasant listen, with a lot grander synths than I normally do, and also some much more choreographed tracks. Some are still 75% improvisationambient though. Give it a whirl.
The opening track, "Sound photograph: Aalborg" is attached for your listening pleasure.
Playing around with extra bridges on my guitar while in a blissed out spring haze.
This is highly unlikely to end up on any album, since it doesn't sound like the rest of my stuff.
On an unrelated note, I went to a super harsh punk show friday. It was amazing. I had forgotten about that sort of energy. I wish my music was angry like that.

Description
-----------
These two sessions were recorded separately, weeks apart. The first 10 tracks are from the later session, and the last 8 are from the earlier one.
There was no real unifying theme to these sessions - they can be considered experiments in experimentation, in that they share the property of being highly improvisational.
In these sessions we have still been trying to find a good instrument setup, and there are major differences in the sounds of the two as a result. The style is also diverse, spanning from mellow to painful.
Sunday.

This is a collection of improvised jam sessions between Randcore and Christopher Aaby. Everything was performed live and recorded, and the best sections were selected for recorded release.
With the two projects usually working exclusively in the digital domain on studio recordings, these jam sessions are a combination of that digital mode of work combined with the two artists’ backgrounds in drums and guitar, respectively.

This time, they expanded the line up even more. HC was somewhere else, but Sigurd, Graff and an old friend from Jutland, Jacob Bugge, came out and made everything wonderful! This release features a long jam, where the new members are introduced. Then three tracks follow, and especially the percussive elements are explored further. They hope you enjoy!

In my mind, these songs tie into an urban theme, referencing the noise and man-made sounds of metropolitan surroundings. To some this is an environment full of life and activity, perhaps even more so than rural environments. To others, the city is a dead place of artificial intelligence and machine automatons. It is from within this dual space that the melodies, structures and sounds of the included songs take their inspiration.
Interruption Songs is the second album from Kontrolorgan. It uses synths, bells, drums, electronics and singing to conjure dronescapes with psychedelic undercurrents, thus building on the outline already present in Kontrolorgan's earlier work. Interruption Songs is, however, a more structured entity than previous releases. Some parts are improvised while others are tightly sequenced. Most lie somewhere in between while exploring themes concerning imagination and the suspension of functional time in artistic rituals. Almost all tracks feature manipulated samples from field recordings originally recorded by Christopher Aaby and Frederik Højlund. Christian Davidsen plays cymbals on 'Mythology Loops'. Rasmus Aaen plays upright bass on 'Mythology Loops' and 'Disappearance Song'.

02. Smoke I / Atlas Ripple
03. Smoke II / Rivers

Ghost#010: Ego Ensemble - Certain Aspects of Life
Runtime: 105 minutes 31 seconds DOWNLOAD
This is a 1 ½ hour trip to a virtual museum of modern sound. We take the risk of saying nothing at the melting point of human ears, where sound can be made into music, since music is nothing but a human invention. Rethink this invention as much as you feel. That is what you can do for this release.

"Algorithmic Composition" explores the relationship between man and machine through musical compositions.
All of the tracks here were created entirely or partially through algorithmic means, that is - through computer applications that Christopher Aaby either made or configured to output sound or notation. The hope is that each composition will retain some of the "ghost in the machine", and that the listener will be able to take a little peek into what a computer finds beautiful.
